Customizing Invoices and Estimates

Created by Isabel Diaz, Modified on Tue, 11 Mar at 7:08 PM by Isabel Diaz

1. Customize Billing Address and Business Info

  • Modify the billing address and business information as necessary.

2. Customize Invoice Label

  • The label at the top of the document can be modified.
  • The default for an invoice is "Invoice", and for an estimate, it is "Estimate".

3. Currency

  • The currency defaults to the account's currency.
  • To change the currency per invoice, enable the option to accept different currencies in the Payment Settings.

4. Invoice/Estimate Number

  • Invoice numbers are automatically updated. The first invoice will be 0000001, and subsequent invoices will increment by one.
  • Invoice numbers must be unique and can only increase.

5. Issue Date / Due Date

  • The issue date is typically the day the invoice is created, but it can be backdated if needed.
  • Set the due date accordingly.

6. Items List

  • List the services or products the client is paying for.
  • Taxes and discounts can be applied to items here.

Note:

  • Recipients can be added to the invoice if it needs to be sent to more than one client by adding their email addresses in the Send to additional recipients field.
