How to Add and Manage Services in the BMP

Overview

The Business Management Platform allows businesses to create and manage services, making it easier for clients to find and schedule appointments or group events online. Once a service is added, it becomes available in the service menu, allowing businesses to schedule it at any time.

This guide covers how to:

  • Add 1-on-1 Appointments
  • Add Group Events
  • Configure service details and advanced settings

1. Types of Services in the BMP

vcita supports two types of services:

  1. 1-on-1 Appointments – Private meetings between a business and a single client.
  2. Group Events – Sessions with multiple clients, such as classes, workshops, or webinars.

There is no limit to the number of services a business can create.


2. Adding a 1-on-1 Appointment

Step 1: Navigate to the Services Page

  1. Go to Settings > My Services in the vcita dashboard.
  2. Click "New Service" at the top of the page.
  3. Select "1-on-1 Appointment."

Step 2: Enter Appointment Details

Fill in the required fields:

  • Service Name – The title of the appointment.
  • Location– Options include:
    • Face-to-Face – Requires a physical address.
    • Over the Phone – Can allow clients to enter a number when booking.
    • Online – Virtual meetings using Zoom, Google Meet, etc.
  • Price – Enter the cost of the service (optional).

Step 3: Assign Staff (If Applicable)

  • By default, the Primary Admin is assigned to the service.
  • If multiple staff members are available, select who can provide the service.

Step 4: Finalize and Save

  • Click "Create" to add the new service.
  • Click "Advanced" to open the Edit Service page and adjust additional settings.

3. Adding a Group Event

Step 1: Navigate to Group Events

  1. Go to Settings > My Services and click "New Service."
  2. Select "Group Event."

Step 2: Enter Event Details

  • Fill in the same details as a 1-on-1 appointment (Service Name, Location, Price, etc.).
  • Set the Max Attendees– The number of clients who can register.
    • Once this number is reached, the event will automatically close for new registrations.

Step 3: Save and Schedule

  • Click "Create" to generate the event.
  • Click "Advanced" to adjust additional settings.
  • Important: Clients can only register for a group event if a date is scheduled on the calendar.
