What is a Call Disposition?
- A call disposition is the outcome label assigned to each call after it’s completed (e.g., Voicemail, Follow-Up Required, Successful Connection).
- Purpose: Helps track and categorize client interactions and call outcomes for reporting and performance monitoring.
Why Are Dispositions Important?
- Accuracy in Reporting: Ensures every call is documented with the correct outcome.
- Workflows: Supports team and manager insight into call performance and client interaction.
- Prevents Call Disruption: Without assigning a disposition, you cannot make additional outbound calls.
How to Use Call Dispositions:
- After Completing a Call:
- Immediately select the appropriate disposition from the menu that pops up in Ring.IO.
- Failure to do so will grey out your ability to make another outbound call.
- Handling Inbound Calls:
- Ring.IO prioritizes inbound calls, meaning they will come through even if a disposition hasn’t been marked on the previous call.
- Complete the inbound call first, then assign dispositions to both the inbound and previous call.
Missed Dispositions:
- If you didn’t assign a disposition to a previous call:
- Look for the orange triangle with an exclamation point in the upper right corner of Ring.IO.
- Click on it to bring up any calls that need a disposition.
- Assign the appropriate disposition for all pending calls before moving forward.
Key Reminders:
- Mark a disposition after every call—whether inbound or outbound.
- Use the orange triangle icon to go back and mark any missed dispositions.
- No disposition = no outbound calls, but inbound calls will always be prioritized.
Next Steps:
- Your manager or director will provide team-specific guidelines on how dispositions apply to your workflow.
