Overview: The Virtual Editor (VE) is the new client-facing tool designed to streamline and expedite website edits. This enhanced platform moves away from the traditional editor to focus on efficiency, real-time updates, and easy self-service for clients. One of the core features in Phase 2 of the VE rollout is the Crop & Media Tool, which simplifies image adjustments and media uploads.

Key Features of the Crop & Media Tool:

1. Cropping Made Simple: Both clients and agents can use the tool to adjust images with ease. The following adjustments are supported:

  • Rotate Image: You can rotate images to fit the desired orientation.
  • Align Image: Adjust image alignment to the left or right.
  • Move Image: Move the image up or down within its frame.
  • Magnify or Minimize: Zoom in or out to achieve the required focus.
  • Resize: Resize images to fit appropriately on the website.

How to Access the Media Tool:

When using the Visual Editor, you will have full access to a variety of media options:

  • Upload New Images: Add new PNG or JPG images directly from your device.
  • Previously Uploaded Images: Select from images that have already been uploaded to the website.
  • Free Stock Images: Choose from a library of available free stock images.
  • Purchased Stock Images: Access previously purchased stock images for use.

To select an image:

  1. Choose your desired image from any of the sources above.
  2. Click the Select Media button located at the bottom right corner of the media tool.

Benefits of the VE Crop & Media Tool:

  • Real-Time Editing: The ability to make edits on the fly reduces turnaround time for image-related requests.
  • Empowerment: Clients can make adjustments themselves without the risk of error, fostering greater control over their website content.
  • One-Call Resolution: By utilizing the VE, you can resolve most image-related requests in a single call, minimizing the need for submitting tickets.
