Townsquare Interactive Dress Code Policy
Overview
Townsquare Interactive maintains a Business Casual Dress Code to ensure that employees project a professional image for potential employees, visiting customers, and community visitors.
Appropriate Attire
Employees are expected to dress in business casual attire, which includes:
- Bottoms: Jeans, khakis, and casual pants (without holes).
- Tops: Collared shirts, dressy shirts, or dressy sweaters.
- Dresses & Skirts: Casual dresses and skirts (If you have to question if it’s too short, it probably is).
- Footwear:
- Clean athletic or walking shoes.
- Loafers, clogs, boots, flats, and dress heels.
- Dressy flip-flops and sandals.
Attire to Avoid
The following are not permitted in the workplace:
- Shorts.
- Rubber flip-flops or slides.
- Casual T-shirts.
- Workout attire.
- Leggings (Allowed only if paired with long, dressy shirts or sweaters covering mid-thigh).
- Torn, dirty, or ripped clothing.
- Tank tops, halter tops, tube tops (If worn, a sweater must be layered over).
- Sleeveless dresses and tops must have at least 1-inch straps (no spaghetti straps).
- Clothing with offensive language or images.
- Pajamas or bedroom shoes.
- Sweatpants or sweatshirts (Sweatshirts allowed on Casual Fridays).
- Hats (Only allowed on Fridays).
Casual Fridays
On Fridays, employees can dress down. Collared shirts, dressy shirts, and sweaters are not required, but clothing must remain appropriate and professional.
Still not allowed on Casual Fridays:
- Shorts or short rompers.
- Tank tops, halter tops, or tube tops (Unless layered with a sweater).
- Sweatpants (Sweatshirts are acceptable).
- Crop tops.
- Biker shorts.
Dress Code Violations
If an employee’s attire does not meet the dress code, supervisors or HR may:
1. Ask the employee not to wear the inappropriate item again.
2. Send the employee home to change.
3. Issue a verbal warning for the first offense.
4. Repeated violations may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
Personal Appearance Expectations
Your personal appearance reflects Townsquare Media’s reputation and should maintain a professional and businesslike image. Employees must:
✔ Be neatly groomed and dressed appropriately for work.
✔ Maintain good hygiene and clean clothing.
✔ Avoid extremes in dress, jewelry, or hairstyle.
✔ Wear professional business attire when required for external meetings.
